My Initiative to Raise Awareness and Stop Domestic Violence

I am taking a course called Self Expression & Leadership via an organization called Landmark. In this course, we are to design a project that will impact a target community. So, for my project I chose to take on Domestic Violence Awareness & Healing. I would love for all of you (quite honestly!) in some capacity to join me. I basically want to create a platform for an ongoing initiative where not just women who have been (or are currently being) abused or former abusers can come for help, education, etc ... but also an ongoing initiative that will include MEN who are not abusers (women who have not been abused) that are willing to role up their sleeves, get out there and help start the healing process.


If we don't stand for something, our children will fall for anything. I was a victim of domestic abuse and I lost an aunt to domestic abuse. This issue has ballooned out of control and I have sat in the audience long enough. We are all affected by this in someway. You may not see it on the surface, but unfortunately it's there. So, whether you choose to give your time, your connections to people who can bring this cause to the public (i.e. media, politicians, activists, etc), resources or all of the above (or more) ... all of your efforts will be greatly appreciated, recognized and never forgotten.
